Weekend Trek Dan tahn!

For those of you that don't speak Pittsburgheese, it simply means...we headed Downtown on Saturday.
Maggie's been BEGGING, seriously people for MONTHS to just go walk around down town. So we finally caved, it looked like a nice day(all though we did NOT account for the wind) and headed off. We parked at Station Square and explored down there for a while before heading across Smithfield street bridge. This is where we encountered the wind! All I can say is thank goodness our jogger has a weather shield for poor Fionn. It was crazy going across the bridge!

Maggie loved it though. All of it. The wind, the cars and buses, and everything associated with being downtown. It was nice to see it though her eyes, to see her perspective of it. We gave her out little old point and shoot to play with, so i'll post the pics she took a little later. She LOVED the old buildings and the churches mixed right in between them downtown. We even stopped at the Macy's downtown and wandered around inside for a bit! So a few blisters later (silly momma, wearing new shoes) we wore her out downtown. She and Fionn both slept well Sunday night. Enjoy!
Crossing Smithfield Street bridge, one of our favorites! She had no idea that I was taking this.

a shot of the bridge, with some of the city behind it

crossing over in downtown

maggie the photographer...it was fun playing tourist

chasing pigeons and looking at Stained Glass windows

in front of one of the old churches downtown, we LOVED the doors

different door, same church. Maggie wanted to see if the doors were open!

All very cool pics! I especially love the one of the bridge showing buildings behind it and the one of her standing in front of the REALLY tall church doors.
