SPS Spirit Walk

This is the second year that Maggie's school has done a "Spirit walk" to help raise money for the school. Last year, despite rain the kids all went out and walked around Crafton to show off their school spirit. On the day of the spirit walk they are all allowed to dress down(not wear their uniforms) but instead wear their gym sweats with the school name on them. This alone makes it a big day!
Last year Maggie did a great job raising money for the school in a short time. Since we live IN the city of Pittsburgh it's not like we let her go door to door, so this is her place to ask everyone for a little help. All you need now it to pledge. One dollar to...is accepted! Then contact me and I'll tell you where to send you donations by next week. Maggie's school is SMALL to say the least, and with the state budget still not passed here in Pennsylvania, it's hurting right now. Please join us in supporting not only Maggie, but St. Philip's. The education she receives there is beyond words.
Thank you all for your help.

Just Me said...

In high school, we tried to get dress down days ALL the time for "special" things (even "not so special things"!) It was a HUGE deal in grade school AND high school when we didn't have to wear our uniforms (even though wearing uniforms was definitely a blessing...I STILL wear a "uniform" and LOVE it!) I can definitely support Maggie's school with a donation. Let me know where to send it.

See you in 30 days...not like I'm counting or anything ;o)
